They look different to me, what does the dealer say about the difference, surely they can see they are not the same. will they not swap the other one so they match.

Ask to have two seats from the same batch. Years ago i worked for a leather sofa company you wouldnt believe the difference of the colour between the leathers in different batches.

They have came to a deadlock with me about it and won,t swap the other one . I offered to purchase the other one myself until I heard the price £1150 plus fitting its only a seat cover.

Would it be cheaper to have both re-trimmed in proper leather because you say
“the leather started coming off “

I was thinking about that but I think it should be there responsibility to have it fixed under warranty but getting nowhere

Very true, it’s just you said about paying for seat until you say the cost.

I wouldn,t pay that much and the chance after 4500 miles the leather starts to come of again i have notices it starting to come of front of armrests aswell so will have to see them about that it must be cheap rubbish they are putting on them.

Looks awful, not acceptable it's your dealers responsibility to sort it.
What are the lounge seats like? As you need all the seats to match.

Have you tried leather cleaner on the passenger seat?
This will normally take away the shine that starts to occur over time.....although it might be worth trying it on a small area first.

The lounge seats are the same as the passengers seat my original dealer went bust I have phoned adria UK and Struans in Perth who is my dealer in perth who is my dealer now but getting nowhere they are trying to say the new one will go shiny after a while but mines has been like that from new. I am thinking about going to the ombudsman about it.but none of them will give me a letter of deadlock. Totally ruins the look inside my van

When we bought our Frankia brand new the manufacturer had made a mistake with the upholstery we had chosen and had upholstered the lounge with the wrong colours although the front seats were correct, so we said, o.k. just get Frankia to send a new set of covers for the lounge. After waiting a couple of months the new covers arrived and they were a completly different colour to the front seats. The dealer complained to Frankia who said because the 2nd set of covers were from a different batch then they were unable to match the front seats exactly. We ended up having the whole van reupholstered at Frankia's expense. So I guess it's a bit like wallpaper in that you have to get all the rolls with the same batch number.

The colour different looks more down to the fact that it's a brand new cover and hasn't absorbed all of the oils and dirt we cover them in on a daily basis.
Even those nice clean denim jeans will leave dye all over the leather.
You would be amazed what comes off when you give them a clean.

that probably is the problem but Adria are not going to do nothing about it now left with a different colour seat and it looks horendous

A right pain as under UK law your contract is with the dealer but you have manufacturers warranty I don't know how enforceable that is in law, normally in situations like this the manufacturers are helpful. I wonder if the dealer you are dealing with can't be bothered to lean on Adria.
Could be worth having a word with citizens advice

yes thats what I am going to do first thing Monday. The passenger seat has only had someone sit in it a handful of times and you can see this is going to wear out quickly aswell must have been a bad batch just my luck

That drivers seat looks sort of baggy and a bad fit compared to the passenger seat. Did they look that different from day one?

No the leather started coming of drivers seat and they changed it

Go direct to Adria's Head Office and see what they have to say or suggest.

service@adria-mobilehome.com

and mark the email as for the attention of Uroš Mavretić (Sales and Marketing Director).

We had quite a lot of correspondance with Dr Jani Petric who was always very professional and straight forward to deal with. Our issue was minor and we'd had it fixed, just wanted to notify them that there was a potential problem. THey refunded the cost of the repair (less than £50) eve though the van was out of warranty.

I will give this a try thanks

Please do not let this spoil the joy of your new van. I agree that the seats are different and they should not be. Having read the whole thread, it seems that the batch is more significant than one would expect, if the material was man made, Even if they replace the seat from yet another batch, they could still be different. The cheapest answer for Adria, would be to replace both seats and they claiming the returned seats for them to recover as new, but somehow they may not agree.
Having said all this, we always cover our front seats as they get most wear and the covers can be washed.
