My daughter and son in law are having a problem in replacing a shattered windscreen on an Adria Sonic 2017 M/H The insurance company are not very helpful as it is a commercial type screen and we are told to get 2 quotations. Has anyone any advice on insurance claims or recommend companies to replace the windscreen. It cannot be repaired. Thanks for your help.

I too have a Sonic, so I’m following with interest, who was the insurance company may I ask? David and Sally was your Adria a Sonic too?

Not quite sure why you're doing what their insurance company should be doing but here are two 👍

they have branches round the country

I have the Adria Vision and had my screen replaced in Germany no problem,
A German branch of autoglass in Trier, took a day to order then fitted it next day,

Had my Hymer one replaced recently by National Windcreens/Autoglass. Shouldn't be a problem getting a replacement but with an A Class insist on an OEM screen.

Thanks for replies. I have passed info onto my daughter and she will log into my a/c I’m not sure who insurance company is.

Sounds very odd, insurers generally have a dedicated windscreen company they say you must use or the excess increases.
Get one quote from the base vehicle main dealer (genuine screen) and one from Auto glass or similar.
I don't know the Adria Sonic but I assume it's a C class.
If its an A class the only place you're likely to get a screen is Adria.
I'd also consider changing insurers to one that knows motorhomes.

I see it's an A class..... Insist on a genuine OEM screen.
Pattern screens are sometimes stressed and crack when fitted.
I hope they get it sorted.. That's going to cost a couple of thousand quid at least.

You could try PSV Glass as well. I've chatted to them at Classic Hymer events, and saw them fitting windscreens next to our ancient van. Have a chat to them - Facebook link seems the best, their website is a bit sparse ...
Cheers

They got our Hymer one in a few days and it was LHD (Hymer screen are handed due to wipers mounted through them) I suppose it depends what's in stock.

The screen is smashed. we think it was a pheasant that we hit.
Thanks for all the comments.
