Hi All
Looking to pick your brains again regarding the motorhome aux socket in the media console anyone know how to get it to connect I've tried using a cable to connect my iPad to the socket to try and play my music through the radio speakers but doesn't work , any ideas I was hoping also to connect my avtex tv to the socket to try and hear the tv better , why they put the speakers at the rear of the tv beats me
Hope someone can through some light on the subject

Yip it's exactly like that I have tried it with a cable between my iPod and the aux socket but nowt comes out at all I understood if you put the radio on a selected aux in the menu it woud pick up the iPod but can't get it to work

I know in my Beemer that you can't run Apple stuff thru that type of input you need a dedicated Apple thingy?
But will work with mp3 or 4 players?
The Beemer has a dedicated Apple/ iPod connection ......

So i would try with mp3 or 4 device?

My Matrix came without a radio although there was one in it. I use the media wall USB port to store and charge my MiFi. I always looked on it as an afterthought that they had a spare inch to fill by the door. I am mucking about in the van and away next week so will see whether the port is connected to anything although I am an AppleFan.

Try and connect via Bluetooth, it should be no different than connecting a phone, I can play music through my IPhone this way

Don't want to connect using Bluetooth I want to find out how the aux socket works on the media centre you are supposed to be able to plug into this socket and play music or listen to tv through the cab radio

What radio is it. If it's Fiat u connect and it's like mine I can't connect. Being investigated by Fiat at moment but not hopeful. Like you I want to connect by cable not Bluetooth.

I’m not sure how a tv would connect via an aux socket, my tv has cabling already routed and connected into the back of the head unit

Yes, but the OP was hopeful he could connect his tv via the aux socket to listen to his tv through the radio speakers

in that case that should work? as long as audio out on tv can b connected to aux in, in panel, ie same jack, or suitable adaptor?

It is all standard plugs (female jack and USB) so should work if wired up. As the media wall is at the door I leave my MiFi there on 24/7 to be charged, while moving the iPad (SatNav) and iPhone from back to front and using bluetooth during the day.

Plugged a speaker in and the sound from the radio came booming through giving a "rear" speaker.

Haven't had time to try it out yet because of work issues but hopefully will try a few things at the weekend just want to have the avtex tv connected to a speaker that we can hear , bad design having the speaker at the back of the tv all the sound is at the rear ok if your making the coffee lol
