Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
With our warmer climate or on European trips we often read on these hallowed pages of fridges being unable to keep things cool.
To this end I spotted this video which shows how to fit inexpensive fans to keep everything cool.

There are a few things that I'd do slightly differently but, I think the theory is reasonably sound.

I would avoid the fan on the right, the right hand bit needs to get hot to drive the fridge refrigerant round.

Absolutely agree. My two fans work really well with a cheap programmable temperature controller (ebay). Another problem with effectively blocking the vent with three fans is that the cooling efficiency will be reduced when the fans aren't running.

I just cable tied a 12v 120mm computer fan I had to the top vent on the left hand side and wired it via a switch to the 12v tv socket.
The bigger the fan the quieter they tend to be and shift a lot of air.
Also works a treat at warming up the awning or drying stuff on the clothes dryer
