With so many place to go once you arrive on this site I thought it about time I restructured the menu. The problem with flyout or large menus is you never know how they will behave on different machines.

I have a couple of screenshots from a Mac Desktop and an iPhone, if the menu looks different or doesn't work for you, post a screenshot here and I will try and refine it. The actual menu items are just there for proving and are likley to change. Cheers

Looks good Jim, working great on iphoneX 👍

My Android landscape looks just like the iphone landscape

Looks good on ipad. However, how common is the compass symbol as an icon for menu? I have not come across it before and usually look for the 3 horizontal bars or 3 vertical dots.

Works on an Android app.

I know its poor form, normally, but spelling error on Fitter Reviews

Works well on my Android phone.

The database can track what we have viewed and give us a What's New menu devoted to each of us.

Would it be possible to find a way to allow us, if we wish, to prioritise, or put in number order, what we prefer to see rather than everything There are so many new posts nowadays that I miss because the site is cluttered with stuff that might interest me less but others more so. If I could prioritise the forums that interest me and discount the ones that I don't I am sure that I would see more of what I want and less of what to me is dross but might be gold to others!

OK on an old Android 7 tablet, though note that the "s" in "Motorhome Sales" is in small case not capitals which makes it different to all the other headings.

Ignore forums you have no need for, that way What's New will only populate from forums you wish to see. And/or... Follow people whose posts you don't want to miss, then their posts only will populate your newsfeed.

Looks very good. This forum continually evolves. Well Done Jim(y)

It works well on my Android tablet but is hard to find on my Android phone.

This is the normal screen on my phone.

It isn't visible until I click on the hamburger symbol in the top left.

Clicking on the compass symbol gives this.

My first thoughts are it works well on a larger screen but doesn't offer anything for me on small screens. But, I rarely search on here for specific sections so others may view it differently.

Works OK on pixel 6 android 13 and samsung S7

I got all excited though it was a thread about food.

On my Android phone, running Android 11 the compass is in the drop down menu.
Same on my tablet running Android 9.

Old laptop with windows 10 ok

Oh no still learning how to use the way this one works. Lots of tears ahead for me methinks.

It only shows when I turn my android phone landscape, but that's ok as I can find it if I need it.

If you just click the 3-lines "Hamburger" symbol, top left, the compass appears at the top of the drop down menu list.
Edit:. Beaten to it by Jim! :giggle:

Works as shown on iPad and iphone14 Jim 👍

Works fine on 2011 MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6.
