A mobile bowling/skittle alley. wonder what the bar/arcade is like :)

By going that size it takes it into HGV territory I would think which is very much more regulated on chassis modification , doubt he is aware of that ............................. Yet ! :)

He'd better not go through any Amber lights with cameras on 😜

A real cut and shunt, I can't believe anyone would want to drive that.
Have to say once finished and painted that might look ok
Sometimes you have to wonder why, can't knock him for trying it but why not get a bigger van like Northernraider in the first place?
That's a good bit longer than mine ... probably about 8 metre

Why doesn’t some one make a telescopic
van that would be like that opened out, but
normal length when travelling,
Engineeringly possible, with sliding chassis rails !!
Front wheel drive of course !!
UNLESS, it’s an electric van, then each wheel is individually driven with elektrickery.

Come on, shoot me down. 😜

I think we have seen such a one posted on here.!

I'd have thought so. It is only how they make recovery trucks from fwdrive Fiat & Renault . Ct the chassis 6"x3" box inserted in to the front chassis rail & then in the rear chassis rail & weld up. extend all the other services. jobs a good un.

They built car transporters like that to carry 12 vehicles. All computer controlled so that when turning the chassis extended in excess of the maximum allowable length for UK roads & prevent damage to the vehicles being transported. When traveling in a straight line it just crept in under the maximum allowable length.

They don't make 8-9m sprinters.

I think there are two manufactures who could help. Decepticon and Transformer, have all the latest A1 for lane control etc.

That's an interesting looking rack on the rear, wonder what it's for and if it's staying ?

Used to use sliding trailers regularly. Colloquially knows as trombone trailers.

Modification of vehicles especially chassis is considerably more complicated compliance wise once you go over 3500kg gvw , and the vehicle in op would exceed 3500 if it is to be at all usable . JMHO .

A mate used to drive a Trombone trailer and even drove a rear steerable one once.
But I still reckon it’s do-able to make one AND pass an MOT .
It’s the driving vehicle that is tested, not what it has the ability to turn into once parked.
I just like engineering and progress I suppose.
Who would have thought 10 years ago, that someone like Tesla would make a car that would beat the 2 second to 60mph mark. 😳
What can be imagined can be achieved.
Mitch
