What sort if temps are you getting?

Only just got into proper Spain. Last night in mountains pleasant couple of hours 4 till 6 then gradually colder. 2 degrees overnight. Lovely sunny morning no coat don't know exact temperature. Quite cold during drive to Zaragoza had to keep putting blower on. Now 20 miles north of Teruel. Sat outside no coat for late lunch and couple of beers outside bar but was cold by 7pm. Now tucked up in van not shivering so must be ok. Tomorrow back in la marina 25 forecast then back to 19. Better than UK I think.

Staying over tonight at the Falkirk Wheel, great view from the van. Camper due in to Mercedes at 7.30am tomorrow for its mot, so just a quick early drive along the motorway.

Went to guardamar yesterday and passing Nancy's noticed it is for sale. Maybe the cost of living crisis affecting another traditional business.

We could post a photo of where we were camping in the MH last night, but as it was under our 'MH-port' in our yard I feel it would not be interesting.

It is our spare room because two family members are occupying our two bedrooms, but the MH spares anyone from sleeping on a couch.

But even at -3C we were cosy, thanks to Truma set at 3.

aire at hellin south of Albacete. Got there about 2 and went for a walk the town was dead. Had a siesta went again at 6.30 was a thriving metropolis. All cafes and bars busy people bustling everywhere. Too cold to eat outside with the dog so kebab and back to the van. By the time we got back other van had gone.

Ucles Aire last night. Magnificent monastery. Lovely village sadly no bar with terrace so couldn't eat out. Couple of drinks sat in the square. Had a quick stop at Castillo de garcimunoz on route but sadly the castle is closed for building work. Headed north today and laughed at the amount of traffic coming out of Madrid. 20 km traffic jams. Didn't laugh for long though on way out the other side queues even longer. Think Madrid must be empty.

We are up in Callander in the Trossachs for a few days, staying on the Callander Woods site, easy walk into town, beautiful surroundings and lovely sunny weather. Bliss.

Salamanca a week ago
Huge deserted area of 3 long roads on tiers, just off the motorway and parallel to the river, with only grassland in between them.

Riaza. Got there at 3pm after horrendous traffic coming north from Madrid. Surprised to see a bit of snow on the top of mountains. However at six there was a blizzard temperature 2 degrees and it snowed on and off all night. As second picture shows taken this morning snow line dropped almost to our level. The village is quite unusual built around a round plaza possibly an old bull ring. There are many bars and restaurants a two minute walk from the Aire. And there is a vet( the reason we chose this stop). 20€ for worming tablet and filling in passport. Would like to come here again when the weather is warmer.

Vittorio gasteiz technically this morning as I forgot last night. Aire of about 30 places full but adjacent car park loads of room. By bed time probably 50 vans at least. Well located but surprisingly modern town. All facilities and loads of supermarkets bars etc would certainly visit again.

Into France and up to Cavignac. No services but room for about 12 vans. Shared with another 7. Into France so first glass of red this trip. Two glasses nine euros! Not Spanish prices anymore.
