Growing alongside one of the 180 lakes that comprise The Cotswolds Lakes, just outside Ciren……

Fun fact:- the area used to be called ‘The Cotswolds Water Park’ - but so many people arrived looking for the water slides and wave pools that they (recently) renamed it!

Makes a good photo opportunity. The rest of the fence is just as good.
Original purpose was, I think, to keep people and livestock from getting into the dunes and destroying them.
Fantastic place will be back soon.

Overnight stop near Callander on the way up North.
Went for a lovely, peaceful walk after breakfast.
Just the sounds of birdsong, burbling steams, rushing waterfalls and a deer barking as it crashed unseen through the undergrowth.
Mist surrounding the hills gradually burning off.
You really don’t need material things to feel ridiculously content.
Although the Motorhome we used to get here was obviously handy

And it gets quite breezy up here too, judging by the way this wind turbine has been torn off its foundations

If visiting Ghent try and visit the De Dulle Griet bar. Apart from having over 500 beers it serves a particular one in a 1.2 L glass that you have to surrender your shoe, its then popped in a basket and hoisted to the ceiling you get it back once you give the glass back. You certainly know you’ve had one after that.
