A photo of the day thread

Not taken today but one of the best sunsets whilst enjoying a large malt. Bolberry farm near salcombe.

The view from my bed at 6 this morning as the first of our Blue Tit chicks fledged. Over the next half hour, with a bit of encouragement from the parents, 5 more left home. Put the box up a couple of years ago for sparrows, hasn't been used till the Blue Tits this year. Just out of sight to the right is a family of House Martins swooping in and out. When they've all gone I must clean the gutters etc!

Gutted, we missed ours moving out yesterday 😢

Mrs KNWH in her Boxster enjoying the weather while it lasts.
Had it 19 years and it’s done less than 29k miles.
Annual road tax is £735, which seems ridiculous for the mileage she does.
Only taxing it for the sunnier months makes it slightly more bearable 🙁
Spending the Cat’s Inheritance 🙂 🙀

North Pennines, Northumberland, a tremendous showing of Cotton Grass on the moors and fells this year, from a distance showing as huge swathes of white seemingly carpeting large areas. Photos taken this afternoon in SW Northumberland whilst out birding a few minutes from home.
