I’ve seen quite few 71 plate Motorhome come on the site we’re on in Suffolk and it surprises me that hardly any have had UK banners on the number plates but have the old GB type.
I would have expected new Motorhome to have the new legal type banner.

there is no requirement to have anything on the number plates.

At the beginning of the change of plate to 71, September 1, the requirements had not been finalised. So even though I requested a UK plate it could not be delivered until a couple of months later, and only because I asked. Governmental coordination?

Never understood why we should have anything on the numberplates. I've always used a GB sticker and now a UK sticker.

I think there are a good number who, like me don’t like stickers of any kind on their vehicles. I have U.K. on the number plates and really don’t want to put any other stickers on the van. I do hope the number plate ones will be acceptable when we next go to France.

Found a use for my redundant GB letters. :whistle2:

If you've got a UK identifier on the plane then you don't need a sticker for France but you do for Spain and other places. Here's the Government info. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/driving-in-the-eu#uk-stickers-and-number-plates

Just curious, has anyone ever been stopped or questioned about displaying no GB/uk on their vehicle?

Our 71 reg had the GB moniker…not a big deal…elwhen it goes in for a service I’m sure they will change them for us 👍🏻

71 reg was 1st September 2021 which was GB plate
28th September 2021 GB changed to UK Reg.

So 71 plate vehicles registered before 28th would have had GB.

Got pulled in Deutschland a few years back. Used my artistic talents with a some black insulating tape and Herr Plod was happy.

I have nothing on mine. But may need a uk sticker next year.
so it a requirement it is on the reg plate as well ?

Cleaning the moho a couple of days ago, I noticed for the first time that the lettering on my numberplate is stuck on. I thought they had to be laminated these days.
