Hi all, as a newbie, I am getting frustrated by the fact I cannot get a 6kg refill for my Moho. A stupid question perhaps, why can’t we use Flogas in the Moho, as there seems to be lots available. It would obviously have to have a different regulator. Just interested in the general view. Also is there normally a supply at motorhome shows for campers. Thank you.

There is normally a supply at the shows. Flo gas is the same fitting, different bottles

Getting there!
Have you checked local filling stations, builders merchants and caravan accessory shops?

Took me a week to get one, 2 trips locally, first time no stock but found out their delivery days/times, went back and bingo.

Hi!

No questions are stupid, we all learn from each other. The pressure of propane is the same whether it comes in a Calor or a Flogas bottle so you regulator should be ok. Ivory55 says the fittings are the same too so should be straightforward.

We use 6kg Flo Gas, standard screw fittings. There's no difference between them and Calor.

Speak to them, set up an account and they'll deliver direct within 2 days of yours being empty. The bottles are also a bit lighter than Calor too.

I've also attached a link to their stockists around Bedford.

Almost a Newbie but not quite now.
We have the best of both worlds. 6kg flogas and 13??kg calor. Just swap pol connector between the two bottles (they are the same fitting as others have stated), IIRC the flogas bottle has zero deposit on it unlike the calor, Managed to obtain mine from the local dump.

Word of caution.
Screw connection is the same for propane which matches the OP 6 kg but I believe there is a difference if using butane as there are different sizes of clip - on connectors.

I'm a Progressing Newbie
Flogas has/had similar bottle shortages to Calor when I checked the other week 🤔
But at least there are more than one supplier options :)
Do they take each others empties for exchanges?

edit: Flogas have a big list of other peoples bottles that are accepted. But oddly :) no Calor
Source

An FAQ question lower down on this page has Calor's acceptable 'other' vendors. But oddly :) no Flogas

have you tried your local council refuse yard, I gave one of the lads a 24 pack of beers for a 6kg bottle then went and got a refill.
