4g signals

With a mifi Ariel is the trick to face it to the nearest 4g mast or server ? Is there an app to help with that ?

My experience was that the Aerial received a constant strength irrespective of direction, others may differ

You can look here ... https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/mobile-coverage ... but I suspect most MiFi aerials are omnidirectional, i.e. pick up signals from any direction.

To improve signal there's no substitute for height - a waterproof box on a pole will do it.
