Scorching outside but we have air-con inside and it's 26.5 in the lounge (we're at home). We're in the 'Extreme Danger' zone on the attached map. I'll be glad when the air cools later. It's supposed to dropping by 20 degrees in one hour!!!! Can't wait :)

That is toasty, it's a mere 34c here in north midlands, plenty hot enough for me though, I'm melting in this and the dog won't budge

41 here in France today. River opposite, bar 200m away, dog still wet from last swim , and fridge with beer in is currently at 5 degrees. Think we will cope.

Oh, we're coping with the heat alright. It's the chance of wildfires that scares me. The humidity outside right now is 22% and we're surrounded by tinder-dry farmland and woodland. It only takes one spark, one discarded cigarette, one glass bottle...or an idiot who likes to watch fires!! That's what's bothering me.

I’m hopeful that by heading into the Pyrenees it’s cooler and less chances of fires leaving the Gironde tomorrow 40 atm

It's starting to cool a little here now. It's 36.5 and the air pressure is dropping, with rain forecast. We could certainly do with some rain. Take care on your journey xx

We are in Fife next to the sea and it was very pleasant.
Had lots of swims game of mini golf and went for a walk manly on grass.
Then back to the van for BBQ board game's and chill
It's a pleasant 22 dig in the van just now

Weird as we have travelled west from Port Grimaud and now north it is getting hotter. No sign of the greenery you see as you head into Normandy. Everywhere is parched and tinder dry. We need rain and plenty of it.

It was pretty warm in Chelmsford yesterday!!

We woke up this morning and we're surrounded by smoke, for miles. No idea where it's coming from and there's a fresh breeze, too. No sign of the rain that's forecast but we desparately need it. Might start doing a rain dance!!

New European record in Siracusa, Sicily of 48.8 deg C. Not officially verified yet, but probably will be .

It appears the smoke we had all around us this morning is from Gironde.
The smoke has now gone but we now have thunder and lightening!

I left Turkiye as the temp was predicted to reach 45C in Cappadocia which is too hot for me. Highest temp so far was 37/39 C in Turkiye and Greece. Now 1/2 way up the Adriatic coast & variable temps between 31/33C . I’m heading for Austria where I hope the temperature will be a degree or two cooler. Not the wisest decision to head into Turkiye during June/July.
