Aug 09 to date 9,000 miles!
I do need insurance within the next two months.
However, no-one answers the phone.
I'm sitting here, right now, just listening to it ring out.

When he's already said their opening hours end at 3pm?

He said that on a Friday and I assumed the 3 pm close was because the following day was a Saturday. I didn't take it to mean that every day finished at 3 pm.
Maybe that's what he did mean, though.

Should you take out a policy with 2gerther for classic vans it's usually with Towergate .and after proof of membership of CCC and photos an agreed valuation cert is issued .
Would this be the case still ,if only a member of fun with a classic van ?
And has 2gether continental breakdown still got the hidden clauses about not covered if broken down on any A road in France ?
Or that vehicles if elderly are now not covered anyway?

If its a genuine 25% discount then the quote should be provided you mention you are a funster then 25% is then removed. For example Vanbitz advertises his prices and then takes 10% off for you so you know yours getting the discount. seems to me this is not the case as mentioned above
Being a member of MF made no difference to my quote and 30 days at a time breakdown cover no good.
My be teething problems, hope so but @Joe Woods you really need to get the phone lines sorted customer service is king. If you don't answer the phones for a quote are you going to be able deal with MTA queries and claims?
I have an issue with another company (not an advertiser on here) not answering emails atm and its making me think if I actually want to deal with them..... just saying

No recovery company can collect you on an A road in France. It has to be arranged via the French "approved operators".. this is no secret

Since july 2009 And Still Going Strong
Their website says open mon-fri 9-7pm and Saturdays/Bholidays 9-3.

It could be just the case that they totally underestimated how much contact they would receive from FUN, and are struggling with demand.
Not an excuse, and hope they do come good because this thread has allready put some doubts in funsters minds.
Good insurance companies are hard to find so I'll watch with interest.

Google reviews are less than favourable.. and shop frontage doesn't look like... well not for me to say

https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=2gether+insurance
To be fair Jim the next company along
Adrian Flux Insurance Services has a big fancy office set in the countryside, very impressive looking but had 3 reviews all 1 star saying they were s**t
Like the other mob 3or4 reviews out of maybe 1000s of customers not a fair reflection really
The proof of the pudding will be in the eating

well I was happy with my renewal today from Insurance Choice but thought I would check.. filled in the form for AIB who gave me an even better price if I pay by card today (normally pay monthly) and thought I would give these chaps a call.. wow, just a dead tone on their lines.. oh well.. so Insurance Choice with low monthly payments or an even lower one off cost for AIB.. not a bad choice but would have been nice to have a third option...

I rang 2gether about my Motorhome insurance last week and they came out quite abit more expensive than my renewal with Saga
even though I said I was a member on here and rang the number
on there avatar!

Just had a follow up call from them to see if I had renewed and if
not could they try and quote again. When I mentioned its strange
as you say on here there is a 25% discount for Fun members and
they were more expensive,he didnt know anything about us and
any discount for Motorhomefun members!
And on the original contact with them that was the first thing I mentioned! So surely that would be in their notes before he rang
back!

Nice to hear Joe`s comments on this if he is on here!

We would like to investigate your comments as our club team are 100% aware of all of our specialist club and forum relationships, if you could inbox me your details to enable me to find your quote risk, it is possible that we have received your enquiry via a couple of different routes. Please remember we have a dedicate team for members but our general call centre may not be aware of the relationship, if you could provide me your details I can very quickly clear this matter up for you.

To be honest most insurance companies never give you there very best price until you tell them you have had a better quote then all of a sudden they can beat the price

The more I read of this thread the more I'm putting this lot on the same level as the other mob that advertise on here i.e. not worth bothering with.

If they can't be bothered to answer the phone for potential new business what the hell are they going to be like if you need to contact them in the event of a claim?

Ok, so you sent this message saying if I could inbox you my details, which I did on Thurs 19th May 10.30 in the morning,
you would look into my query and clear the matter up. Well I have
heard nothing, not even a courtesy message back saying you
have recieved my details and you were looking into it.
So if this is how you treat potential business before we buy
off you I dont hold alot of hope if we had to claim on your
policys!!
I think I have given you enough time to come back to me.
This is very poor service in my opinion!

Yes just had a call from yourselves and he said he can beat my
current provider by £10 which is not worth me swapping in my
opinion.
Just interested in your 25% discount claim at the start of this
thread.Does it mean you are 25% dearer to start with then you
deduct it?

Most certainly not, the discount offered is a club discount that we have arranged with the Insurers. We also deduct a further amount from what we would typically earn on commissions and Fees, this does not mean that we shall always be the cheapest, it is a competitive market, we are however one of the market leading providers. The discount is real and in many cases beyond the 25% we give club members.

I am sure if you advised that the savings was not enough to change the team would do everything within their power to secure your custom.

We have a dedicated team, we have addressed a recent flurry of calls where the team were receiving some over flow from our sales team. These calls have now been stopped to ensure calls are not being missed.

To address generally some of the recent comments.

Yes our Club discounts are real, if you contact our club team they are fully aware of every club and relationship that we hold.

Problems getting through - We have a dedicated club team that desl with club enquiries, we have recently removed any over flow calls that they may receive from other departments and are shortly going to provide memebrs with a quote form which will trigger an auto dialler call from us to you, this will be at our cost and within the call group as to ensure that you are not on hold.

2Gether Risk acceptance - 2Gether have a pretty wide ranegof acceptable rating criteria however there shall always be some risks that we cannot cater for, this is no different to any other provider, it is however rare we cannot place and improve an a customers offering elsewhere.

We are not a faceless call centre, all of the team are trained to the highest of levels and to handle our cusotmers with care at a personal level. I can assure you that our customers are very happy with us and we wish to be able to help even more members, we will enagage with you in everyway that we can and are happy to assist with any general queries members may have.

Hi, to be fair we don't work like that we always to our utmost to try to provide the best possible price, of course there are times if we are up against a rate we may be able to get a referral and shave a bit more off, ultimately we want your business and to keep you on baord for many years.

Well Joe my first contact with yourselves was the number on your
avatar and the guy who answered it had never heard of us and didnt
know about the discount for club members.
And this morning your guy who rang was told what my renewal price was and he was £10 cheaper and said thats the best he could do.So I dont think that is reason to change insurers,do you?
