Since childhood!
Just got my AA renewal through. The premium for the next year has increased by more than 25%!

Fair enough that the cost of everything is going up and running recovery vans is an increasingly expensive business (nephew is an HGV mechanic who rescues trucks broken down), but I think a 25% increase is rather cheeky. It's also above my budget (which HAS been set to allow for an increase, just not this much of one.) I will be on the phone next week to see if this can be improved a bit. As I seem to remember doing this time last year!

My European breakdown cover for all 5 vehicles (and much more) via my Nationwide FlexPlus account for £13 a month hasn't gone up.........yet.

I've just been emailed my house (same house) renewal which is asking for a 29% increase.
Have never made a claim in 50+ years

Why not get quotes from a few other companies while you are at it. AA have never been cheap.

Luckily both markets have plenty of other options for you to try. Not always the case

Try a comparison with RAC then phone the AA to cancel and see if they offer you a reduction. Don't hold your breath though.

I have done this for probably the last 20 years and always got a positive result......

Until Sept 2021!!!!

Renewal letter falls on the doormat, 80% up from last year...

Usual practice, get alternative quotes , telephone AA expecting a reduction to just above last years price but not this time!!!!

"Sorry Sir, we sell a Premium Service, as a loyal customer of 20 yrs, we can offer a 5% discount but that is all"

Tell them that I will have to go elsewhere.....

" Sorry to hear that Sir, but we offer a Premium Service and have to price accordingly"

Now with Green Flag for half last years cost.
