Looking to purchase another sat nav for Swimbos use in addition to built in Zenec unit. Is this worth a punt or would we be just as well going for a 7 inch Xgody Truck at almost half the price. Your views and thoughts would be appreciated. (y)(y)

To be honest it looks like an xgody at twice the price. They say Igo software which us what the xgody has. If you go for the xgody get the 886 model.

They were my thoughts Lunarman currently browsing the xgody 886 on flea bay.

Hi,

Just wondering why another Sat nav is being considered in addition to zenec unit?

Are there problems with the zenec or just want something else. I think my new van will have this so interested in reasoning.

Thanks

No problems with the Zenec unit it’s a terrific piece of kit, my good lady likes her own to watch.

why not try here maps on your phone, all free to download and works offline, no bells and whistles but will always get you there, as i said all free so what have you got to lose?

Xgody arrived today very good service from the seller, been having a little play with it and for the money I am well impressed.

Stewart, the zenec use igo maps (I think) so should route the same, Be interesting to hear if they vary.

I Will await patiently for a review Stewart .....(y)

Decided on this Xgody 886 a couple of quid extra for Bluetooth model seems a good price.

Hi Stewart

Just wondering if you’d had the opportunity to try the Sat Nav ..... considering one would appreciate any comments.

The link to eBay seems to suggest 2017 maps which confuses me a bit.

Look forward to hearing from you when you have a spare minute.

Thanks
Jo

Only in the U.K. so far Jo running up and down to Nottingham this last few weeks, must admit it’s performed flawlessly so far battery life is poor but that is stated in the supplied manual. For the price so far I cannot fault it, locks onto satellites very quickly and positioning is accurate to within yards. It’s picked up all the speed cameras on the M1 smart motorway section of which there are a lot and gives plenty of warning. It’s kept position including the lane on the upgraded sections of the A1 which I think was only completed last year so mapping is at least 2018, the blurb from the seller when we confirmed purchased stated all mapping and speed camera updates were the latest available. Hope this of help,
