Hi all hope someone can advise, if got a bessacarr e795 2005 everything worked fine upto last week when I tried to heat my water.
I have a truma c6002 combi boiler the boiler will not fire up either on gas or electric hookup.
I then noticed there was wet in the wardrobe which has me stumbled I'm guessing it may be connected? I initially thought the wet had got into the wardrobe from outside as wed had torrential rain previous few days.the only place it could possibly leak was the outside light but upon inspection it seems completely sealed and water tight.
I got a caravan technician to take a look at the boiler fault and he thinks the truma cable loom connecting the control panel and rcn circuit board has got wet and possibly the board itself he feels this is the boiler fault. He suggests changing the cable first as it's relatively cheap if theres still a problem then get the board refurbished.
Which makes sense.
He also felt that the water may not be from outside but damp or condensation he said it had left a slight mark of Crystal's? I dont know if anyone has any experience of this or if the Crystal's are a clue to anything.
Many thanks for any advice

Hi & welcome to Motorhome’fun’ 🤓🚍

not sure re above but the engineer sounds confident?

there will be others along soon to offer advice I expect

The crystals suggest to me that the wet came from the boiler.
They could be the remnants of the antifreeze in the system?
Not sure why dodgy wiring could cause leaks tho.

Hi Jed, welcome to the fun house. 🤪

I'd go to another technician! The issue is to sort the leak first before you get down to sorting the electrics, so that's what he should be looking at.

You need to check all the pipes etc are securely attached and then see if you can spot any water coming out anywhere, it could be that the boiler has been left with water in it over winter and has cracked, or the pipes have split, and that has got on the components and caused the electrics to fail, without sorting the leak you're likely to have the same issue again with any new bits you fit.

Just a though ... wet in the wardrobe ... someone hasn't inadvertently mistaken it for the toilet cubicle have they ... my hubby nearly did that once at home and tried to climb in our wardrobe instead of going to the bathroom! :giggle:

Haha no no1 has peed in the wardrobe mindy.
And if attend this pic swifter as I already had in my phone from other day you can clearly see the damage to wiring as it goes into pcb connector.
I'd imagine that's causing a problem in any case it definatly needs replacement.
Iv added a pic of pcb circuit board no visible damage to that and the fuses have not blown.
I will call at the motorhome tomorrow swifter and take more pics.

If the green bits on the cable ends are the 'crystals' you're talking about, that's oxidisation of the copper, could be caused by leaking water or maybe condensation.

Yea think its gota be condensation as all exterior seems watertight
