My rev counter has no reading, the speedo, trip all work fine as does all other functions on the instruction panel.

I wonder if any one else has had this problem and how it was resolved?

Thinking it might be a common problem on the Ducato?

I am bracing myself that if I want to repair I will have to replace the whole instrumention panel:cry:Which I guess wont be cheap :Eeek:

It may just be a loose connection...apperantlety there are two fixing screws that hold the lot is and once you have removed those you can disconnect the electrical bit and reconnect it which cures some problems....

Thinking it could just be a loose connection. I have no real idea how the rev counter gets its reading. Is it electro-mechnical or a pulse from a microprocessor.

If the chip option then its going to be a replacement of the unit I guess. If the cable thing then maybe a wiggle will do

    Anyone know either way?

Yeh, its not something that is keeping me awake at night. But if its a cheap fix, I like to get it done.

But dont want to necessarily take it to a garage for them to sting me
