Taking the MH to Spain in early May.
We want to go from Santander to Jaca, then over to France via Somport.

First timers for Aires etc.

Would any kind Funster recommend Aires and places to see en-route.
Route kinda open but maybe Logrono/Pamplona, taking a little time out.

TIA

We spent a few weeks in France and Spain just after Christmas, first time in the motor home.
All our night stops and some lunch places were found on the park4night app which I thoroughly recommend. It shows campsites, places where you can service the tanks etc, wild camping spots and car parks accessible to motor homes.
We wild camped most of the time, often in stunning spots. We only paid for two or three nights and then only because we wanted to be in specific places eg the middle of Girona.
Wild camping is a bit scary to start with as it’s an unknown but once you get the hang of it it’s great fun! And you see some beautiful places.

It's an area I have travelled through many times but never stayed.
But here are a couple of pointers.
I heard that one of the aires, either Jaca or Sabinanigo was closed so you may want to get that checked out.
On the French side of the Somport is Oleron st marie. There is an aire listed, not good as tight to access and cars often fill the parking area. Have used it and would again if needed but I think a supermarket car park is just as good.

Some of the campsites will be open then and some stunning locations. (y)
