Need help please on best next course of action. The plug on the left works in both the sockets in the van. One socket is on the dash, presumably Fiat supplied, and the other socket is in the hab area, presumably fitted by Pilote. The plug on the right only works in the dashboard socket but not the hab socket. I would really prefer to have the right hand plug working in the hab socket. Is there an adaptor I can buy, or is it easy to cut off the plug and fit another like the one on the left?

Edit:. Doh! The other way round......

More than toes wet now!
If it's the one on the right that works in both you can buy exact equivalents online.

From memory, there's a bolt \ nut holds it together in the middle and the knurled nut on the tip unscrews to access the innards

Edit : eg here https://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/psg08685/car-cigar-lighter-plug/dp/CN21229

Edit Edit:doh: : the reason the one on the left may not be working is the contacts on the plug are further back on the body and may not be making contact with the contacts in the socket.

That's the one. I'm not sure if the other one just isn't compatible or if it's faulty. We're in France for the next few months so I'll see what I can find here. Many thanks.
