We bought this van just to try Motorhomes and see if we liked it after tugging for a lot of years, we have now had it over 7 years and we have added 100,000 km to the total of 149,000 so the next milestone will be 100,000 miles and then we really must make up our minds wether we like it or not;)

I have heard it said many times but never really experienced it until our current MH

Just coming up for 50K miles and drives nicer now than it has in our ownership so far :)(y) smoother and more mpg (y)

Really hope I am not tempting fate within list though o_O

The base vehicle was designed to operate beyond 250,000 miles, so at 100,000 km it's just about run in

To be honest it had 50,000km on when we bought it but it has loosened up considerably in our care and the revs buzz a lot more freely than they did.

The remap probably helped Martin:D

IMHO the quality of it puts a lot of modern MH's to shame.
But you have to remember Jon that 13 years ago it cost somebody £100k, certainly better value for the second owners than the first.

We all know that you really like your Flair, as Jon and I like our N&Bs of that era.

So you probably will not swap it soon.

Threfore I suggest you stop being a 'very naughty boy' by driving around Germany to Dusseldorf and Stuttgart shows and visiting the showrooms of N&B, Carthago, Concorde and Phoenix and exciting the salesmen unnecessarily, when you are just there for the free aires, coffee and other entertainment.

You should stop it - and let me do it.

When I post that I will never buy new it is in the hope that their marketing people will read the posts and mark me for a better discount;) Oops should not have posted that.

[We have only just passed 80,000km on a 2003 vehicle.]

That s an excellent point Geoff; In fact I wonder what proportion of Martins mileage has been on his quest for the holy grail - I mean the replacement.

It’s all good fun though Jon and we can keep our hands in our pockets until the perfect van turn up, if there is such a thing.

We had a look at a Charisma 920g last night ;)

My hymer (2004) is now on 102000 miles I've done 8000 since buying it in October..

It goes better than the 2008 Frankia I had , I think the older is definately better
