The Kelpies & Falkirk Wheel

From Carr’s Hill campsite we drove to the Helix park and parked up for the day free of charge.
Firstly, we walked to the Kelpies took a load of photos and paid for a guided tour taking you inside the horses head ( really good).
Back to the van for coffee and cake, then decided to cycle to the Falkirk Wheel along a canal path ( approx 4.5 miles).
We booked a canal boat trip taking us onto the wheel and through the Rough Castle tunnel, interesting and worthwhile.
After a late lunch we cycled back to the van.
Had a walk around the Helix park, plenty of different walks to do.
A great day out and the weather was with us.
