I think the perception that everyone is blind drunk every night might put many people off attending.

True, some folk let their hair down and enjoy late night sing songs and incomprehensible discussions about the colour of worms with measles but to paint a picture of overall boozing and vomiting would be false...

And there you have a Funsters' meet summed up...

Some like boozing and they enjoy themselves and some (like me) have superb Fun without the need for stimulants (other than pies, Welsh cakes and biscuits)

All sorts of people have fun at a Funster Meet/Rally.

Malv ern and Others

Posted a Quote reply but lost it. Apologies if this turns up twice.

Having just attended our first rally with Motorhomefun at Shrewsbury last week I can tell you that the welcome you receive as a newbie is outstanding. You couldn't meet a friendlier bunch of motorhomers. There seems to be plenty going on day and night but you are free to socialise as much or as little as you wish. A really lovely lot.

After years of always doing our own thing on our own we've booked for two more rallies. Can't give a better recommendation than that.

Try one and see what you think.

Malvern and others

OK here we are, a newbie, both to m/homing and MHFun.
IF we were to come to Malvern or any other show, why book in with the 'club'. I can see via the online chat that many seem to know others, presumably from show/site visits, but what actually goes on at the shows and how welcoming are you all to newcomers?

Posted a quote reply to you but "lost" it. Scroll down and ytou'll find it again as a separate entry! Still haven't got to grips with this website.

unfortunately, Peter, this is a warners show....definitely and categorically NO.... you can't transfer tickets.

And once booking has closed they will not be moved and allow you to join the funsters if you ain't already booked.....even if there is room and the Marshall approves.

The ' management' are worse than the caravan club for jobsworth status

jj it wouldnt matter if the darkside had 200 vans and us just 10 you would still know where the entertainment was coming from a small group we had the pleasure to be with at both Peterborough and newark at least hold the claim to have been the last to leave (or to be honest thrown out of) the bars at both venue's including the harvester where the poor staff wanted a early night not much chance with us there
but i blame philliphall and beerdrinker1 for all them hassle's
o and take mind dont u dare marshall me near a bin or i will drink over ya foot

Hi dreckly, we have motorhomes, 5th wheelers, American RV's and caravans booked in with us, I don't think that a tent will be a problem.
Book with Warners to be pitched with Fun, then fill out Jims attendace form so that we know when you will be arriving on site and we will find a suitable place for you to pitch up.
You certainly won't lower the tone and we can more than handle any mocking behaviour from the Darkside should there be any.
Look forward to welcoming you to Malvern.
