Vence is a lovely town. Coincidentally we were there for lunch yesterday before heading up to the Courmettes. You live in Tourettes-sur-Loup? We used to live in Vence, back in 2003-5
Hi, yes sure, it’s….What's the name of the site, or GPS please? I love CSes next to rivers.
Cheers. Only this second see this.
Did report this earlier.Based in Barmouth for the week, got out on the e bike to look aroundView attachment 1090565![]()
You beat me to it - Shocking picture.Did report this earlier.
Are you aware the highest risk to the railway is Level Crossing misuse, that by taking this image of a bicycle on the crossing you have carried out.
Were you by chance standing in the four foot to take the image? Which is trespass.
This year has seen a 28% increase in fatalities on Level Crossings, including 2 in 3 days on the 11th and 13th July. This is the largest increase in over 20 years. Those fatalities include school aged children, young fathers, grandparents.
We are now in the summer holiday season where youngsters are more likely to trespass on the railway and misuse Level Crossings. Do you understand the message you are giving by behaving in an irresponsible manner and posting your behaviour in the public domain?
Are you aware that 84%+ of innocent train drivers that bowl over trespassers and misusers never work again due to the trauma of taking someone's life or leaving them with life changing injuries, through the irresponsibility of others.
There is a campaign currently that is deliberately high impact due to the increase in misuse on and around the railway:

The facts - You vs. Train
What is trespassing? If you step on the railway track, the land next to the track, or any area near the railway that isn’t open to the public, you are trespassing. It is dangerous and illegal. Trespassing includes: Picking up lost property from the tracks Crossing the tracksat any point...www.youvstrain.co.uk
Professionally I have to report your irresponsible behaviour as by viewing the imagery I have guilty knowledge. There may well be a covert camera that recorded your actions.
I truly hope you will change your behaviour for everyone's benefit.
Thank you.
...and not even "a photo of your van camping last night"You beat me to it - Shocking picture.
To answer your question no, I had no idea it was trespassing and no I was not aware of any of the facts you stated. No I did not consider my behaviour would encourage others to maybe copy me and the thought did not cross my mind at all. In fact I thought it was just another photo. No way I can edit this unless Jim removes the photo for me. No I wont be taking a similar photo in future and thanks for making me aware of the facts. Sometimes you do things without thinking especially when you are mentally distracted for whatever reason.Did report this earlier.

Good response TC3, we all make mistakes but few put their hand up and acknowledge it.To answer your question no, I had no idea it was trespassing and no I was nit aware of any of the facts you stated. Again sometimes you do things when you are mentally distracted. An example is loss off someone close very recently. Thought I was posting this in photo of the day thread....and not even "a photo of your van camping last night"
If you put an @ before Jim he will be aware and help to remove it for you JimTo answer your question no, I had no idea it was trespassing and no I was not aware of any of the facts you stated. You’ve been put right. You shouldn’t have stopped to take the photo. But I don’t see the need to remove it. It’s a great photo in as much it perfectly illustrates what we shouldn’t do.No way I can edit this unless @Jim removes the photo for me.

Its pretty obvious from angle photo was taken from your higher up and to the side of the tracks.I had someone complain on Flickr about this picture citing the danger to me and others.
Except it was taken over my garden fence....

I had fun on Sunday setting up our awning in a thunderstorm but its only water and at least the wind was not too bad.
No worriesAgain sometimes you do things when you are mentally distracted. An example is loss off someone close very recently. Thought I was posting this in photo of the day thread.
The site is pretty decent but as usual not cheap. It was £41 a night. Usual standard loos etc. Easy walk into the town and of course walks galore in the area.Whats the verdict on that CAMC site? We were thinking on heading that way next month.
