Hey all.

I have an Autosleepers Nuevo ES 2005 model.

I've noticed what looks like a crack on the seal at the front of the cab (see picture). It feels solid, no flaking or pealing.

There are a few hair line cracks appearing along the track also.

My question:
Is it a cause for concern, such as damp?
What's the best way to fix it?

Many thanks in advance.

That looks like a trim piece covering a joint underneath, it looks like it is bedded in sealant so making sure its sealed would be a good idea. I would suggest you get some Captain Tolly's Creeping Crack Cure to inject into any small gaps then when set apply a white sealant over the top. You could of course just remove the whole trim strip and replace it but that depends on how handy you are at DIY and whether you can get a replacement which may be identical or even slightly different in size.

This or something similar would seem to be appropriate. https://caravanseals.co.uk/screw-cover-strip-herzim-trim-14-9mm-wide/

I know this irrelevant, annoying and just silly, and I apologise .... but having read the post title and this springing to mind, it was really easy to get one of the AI programs to produce it.

Thank you for the advice. I'll give the Captain Tolly method a go and see how it goes 😀
