How often do you folk wash your Moho/ PVC? I must wash mine between 15 and 20 times a year on return within a few days and a few days before we leave and if away from any length of time I wash it where I am pitched.
I do the roof about 4 times a year, but I think I am a bit anal or is this the norm?

OMG can't actually believe it landed at Keswick this afternoon and no rain 🌧️ in fact it's beautiful🌞, great you would think but look at the state of the van shit load of insect splat 🪰🐝🦟 hoping for rain now 😁 well off to the pub will sort it out in the morning 😎 🍻

I'm in Pooley Bridge, came over A66 on Tuesday and used almost all the screenwash trying to get rid of the windscreen bugs - must be the hot weather . Also went on the Ullswater Steamer today so now I'm too sunburnt to wash the bugs off.....

We are in Scotland at present. More or less on way back, two more nights. Anyway it rained quite heavily for a few hours last night so lots of dust has been washed off, even windscreen is much cleaner. So one job less when return home!
Actually van goes in for servicing etc towards end of May so will have to have a bit of a go before then.

Every time I look out of the landing window the state of the van roof urges me to get it washed meaning I will have to follow it with a full van wash.
Garden DIY jobs are sapping my energy and aggravating my arthritis so the van will have to wait.
Maybe before our trip at the end of the month it will be done but it’s an annual job.

I think UK registered motorhomes are cursed. We travelled through France and Portugal earlier this year, accompanied by a variety of severe weather storms, and our motorhome was filthy from travelling on wet, dirty roads. But whenever / wherever we stopped for the night, any European registered van would appear to be pristine at the side of ours.
It would be interesting to ask this same question on a French or German motorhome site!
Oh - just finished washing ours - 2nd time this year.

I have to wash mine now that we have solar panels on the roof. 🙂

And we do, sadly, have to park it under a tree. Am wondering about making some covers for the solar panels for when it's stationary at home for a few weeks... anyone do anything similar?

I have the worst time washing my roof, (or i did until last November). I have to park it under a loganberry tree which drops its 10’s of thousands berry’s on there along with sap and other crap. It’s takes over 3 hours with a power washer due to all the stuff i have up there.
Anyway in the storm last November i went out there in the dark and cut all the overhanging branches off. I threw them about on the floor ready for the ‘surprise’ the following day whom i go outside to see what damage the ‘wind’ has done.
Long story short, no one suspected i cut them down. Result.👍
