How often do you folk wash your Moho/ PVC? I must wash mine between 15 and 20 times a year on return within a few days and a few days before we leave and if away from any length of time I wash it where I am pitched.
I do the roof about 4 times a year, but I think I am a bit anal or is this the norm?

Slightly surprised you are allowed to do it on your pitch.
A few years ago, in may places, this was prohibited? 🤔

Two or three times. Theres a reason i buy the grey silver as it dont look quite so dirty. And, i don't like doing it too often as each time I see more of the Fiat paint peeling off. :(

I agree and, being a person who likes to work with nature, I wait for it to rain warmly before I get my washing brush out 🙂

Ours has only had its first wash this week  but it has been undercover for 3 months while we have been away without it :( normally I guess it might be 10 times a year or possibly more, on site I usually give the front and the side skirts a clean with a detailing spray, the roof gets done with Aquawax or similar detailing spray rather than washing.
Bet you couldn't wait to get back 😁

We live right on the coast and one of our neighbours keeps feeding them I feel your pain 🤬
Feeding Seagulls!

I'd move, or report them to the relevant mental health authorities. 😱

We go away three times a year for between 6-12 weeks at a time. I do a full clean, wash, polish and seal including the roof once a year. I wash before each of the other two trips and it looks pretty good. As others have said l may clean and polish the front to get rid of the dead bugs etc during each trip.

Clean ours before we go away , sometimes after a festival if muddy , roof Too High so very rarely.. van too big makes little arms ache.
Inside nice n clean... but clean/polish car at least every 4 weeks; cant abide it being dirty- like having muddy shoes. Van= overshoes; meant to be used  .

Metallic grey, so doesn’t look too bad. Roof once a year and that’ s problematic enough. Being a panel van it’s corrugated so not easy with a brush and I can’t get up high enough to lean over. The rest, a good doing about twice a year with the stuff we were given when we had the van diamond brighted, or what ever, shampoo and proper rinse. Maybe a rinse t other times if really dirty or before it goes in for a service. Inside is cleaned every trip.
That is all more that the car which is lucky if it is cleaned once a year except when in the garage for a service, because they always do it.

After every trip I wash the outside and clean the inside.
The roof gets washed about three times per year.
I like my van to be clean and it annoys me when we are away for a few weeks and it gets dirty.
When we traded in our last motorhome the dealer commented on how clean it was.
I think they put it straight up for sale without touching it.
I think I have some form of OCD lol.

Actually this is really sad I know but I hate driving it in the wet not bothered by rain when parked up.
I can just feel all that shit road grime undoing my hard work when driving in the rain 2/3hrs work undone in 5mins oh and don't mention the salt in the winter that's why I go abroad 🙈 😁
I love the rain, but then I am from the north west England, we get a( more than) fair bit.

I used to wash ours when in my opinion it was dirty enough.

The last 2 times before we got rid i put it through a hand car wash thing, £25 and £30 respectively cause i couldn't be arsed to do it myself.

Most days when at home as we have a lot of Seagulls with Diarrohea :rolleyes:
I feel your pain. I live surrounded by trees (which is lovely) from which rooks and pigeons seem to compete on who has the largest sh*t and how generously they splatter it all over my van, car and house.

4-5 times a year.
Once at the beginning of the season, usually done professionally.
Maybe a two or three times in the summer.
Once at the end of the season

Whist I have done it outside my house its not really practical, as we have no drive, and live on a hill, so the hose pipe has to be run through the house, and the ladder has to be in the road or on the pavement, both of which block access.
A slippery roof on a slope is not easy.
Who do you get to do your van for the pro clean?

Who do you get to do your van for the pro clean?
Neither local to you.
But I use:

Charlie, Squeaky Clean in Rochester, Kent. ME1 2NH
07713 334870

It's a mobile guy with a van
1 mile off the M2. 5 miles off the M20 and M25 so very easy to get to from SE London or the Kent ports
He is not permitted to clean in my storage area, so I go to his house.
Which as it's 2 miles down the road from the storage is very convenient, but the cost is the wrong side of £100, but it's a two hour job and he does the roof etc.
He will also get motorhomes up to showroom condition, wax polishing etc. 4-6 hours

Guy, G&D Storage in St Marys in the Marsh, near Romney in Kent. TN9 0BT
07867 501332

It's a caravan/motorhome storage place on Romney Marsh. He will do all the outside, including the roof, for about £45.
He can also arrange repairs, as i have seen caravan repairers, auto electricians, gas etc on site.

Shingle Hall campsite is 100m down the road, so you can camp the night and be there for when they open.
There is also a very nice pub 15 mins walk away, it's also an excellent cycling area, so I normally go for a day long ride and stay a second night at the campsite. (and visit the pub!)

Otherwise I do it myself at my brothers near Wallingford, he has a yard and a 3m fruit picking stepladder and pay my nephew £5 to assist with opening vents and sorting hoses etc.

It usually is prohibited on camp sites.
I've seen German sites with designated washing areas with all the kit, but you pay and book your slot to do the washing.
I've only ever washed the front on a site, just to de-bug the the front end.

Mine's a pvc. I try to wash it weekly > ten days. Solar needs cleaning at least 3 times week normally.
Can't be doing with dirty vehicles, shouldn't be allowed to use the roads.:hi5:
I wash it where I am pitched.
Be careful in spain as the site should stop you doing as as they would be as liable for a fine as you are .Washing of any vehicle except in a proper washing facility is completely illegalyou can't wash a vehicle in the road nor even in your own fenced & gated property .It is a criminal offence under environmental legislation to protect from polluting ground water sources.
I think I have some form of OCD lol.
Makes two of us.

I remember years ago when first married . I had a rover p5b, blue with champagne leather. when the wife left for work around 8,30am I was starting to wash the car .When she returned at 5,30pm I was waxing the interior. She said " what have you been up to today?"
"Washing & polishing the car"
"You were doing that when I left for work?"
" yes & I haven't finished doing it yet ,either"

I use Greased Lightning Showroom Shine. It's waterless wash/polish. Quick and easy, and hopefully acceptable to campsites in Spain. I certainly use it there.

Only 2 years paint warranty I believe. First signs of failure about 4 years so no chance of claim, even then they'd blame the converter, wrong paint protection or wash or whatever.

Spring and Autumn generally but it's a 3 day event including waxing.

As you said that does sound a bit OTT. Mine gets washed once a year by a professional valeter and that’s it. Although I have been known to wash the windscreen on occasion.

usually after every trip and if it stands for more than a week in between trips before we leave but the roof only gets 3-4 washes a year one being a good scrub, but not to bad if I keep on top of it.
If I could find someone local I would gladly pay to get the roof done🙂
