Can anyone recommend a small low watttage kettle that works well.

Kampa do a 1kw 1 litre cordless ekectric kettle in different colours.
I've just ordered one to run off my invertor.

One way to kill your batteries it will draw around 90 amps, OK if you have a bank of 4 or more batteries even then I wouldn't risk it.

I like this one, but as it's 1Kw wouldn't that trip a 6amp hook up?

Seen a few that low in France..
1000w approx 4.4 amps @230v, I say approx as that is apparent power not true power.:D2
 
This is the one we use, off the inverter. 1000watt and 1.2 litres. Only on for a few minutes doesn't drain the batteries, especially in this sun.

It is not the overall drain on the batteries but the high load that damages them.

My recommendation..

just bought one and using now

When we run the 750w kettle off the inverter we do it when the solar panel is in sun.
The kettle pulls around 62A for a few minutes but the battery voltage never goes below 12v
I have 2 x 95A AGM batteries.
