We had a weekend (Fri to Monday) between houses once and had everything in my parents' garage. That was 37 years ago and they still refer back to it ....... the next time we had a "void" we rented a unit for a month to avoid the parental hassle.

I can imagine Vanessa and your works van with boxes piled in and on them

Sandra, @irnbru unfortunately we are not going to make Millport. As you know we are changing van, had hoped it would be all sorted by 1st June, but looks as though it has slipped a week and will all be happening Friday 8th we then have to sort out alarm and a couple of other things.

Should just about make Dumfries.

Really disappointed as this was one of the best meets we attended last year and we were both really looking forward to it.

Bonus though, possibly for someone as 2 kayaking experiences up for grabs.

Directions

On exit of the 7.5 min ferry ride turn left at top of slipway. Follow sign to Millport, less than 4 miles. The Garrison house will appear on your right, drive past it then turn right... (Please drop of your toad here on the shore front if you have one until we can fit everyone in) On the very extreme you don't see me or @MicknMew or no flag then toot your horn.

We have no proper shelter so it will be awnings and pop up gazebos combined with a 1 min walk to pub

Sunshine and BBQ , (bring your own for Fri night) has been arranged, other than that its a DIY and (AIY )Arrange it Yourself weekend.

Please do not arrive before 11am.

Any Qs please ask.

REMINDER
You will be on the west coast so come prepared for midges. Avon skin so soft..blue/green bottle usually works well and I’m convinced they don’t like wine
We got lucky last year except one night so hopefully will get lucky again.

PHEW ! Having no shelter for Millport except the pub I've managed to buy a 2nd hand pop up gazebo for £60 At least we won't now be at the of the weather and can quickly get it down if need be. Hope that won't be necessary though as Millport is in the Gulf Stream and usually mild. Hoping we will have sea bathing like last year this year too.

Well done with the bargain gazebo, and as you say the weather up in Scotland can change very quickly. But i don't think you should have to pay for it, if it's being used by different rallies, could there not be a whip round to pay for it. I wouldn't mind donating as I know others wouldn't either.

Jim is kindly refunding the £60 so we will now have the gazebo permanently based in Scotland for anyone to use.

Will be quick to dismantle in sudden turns of the weather .

That's brilliant Sandra and will save a lot of hassle getting shelters from one end of Britain to the other

I was going to offer to chin in a few £s as well

Should we bring our drive away awning? It was used a couple of years ago at Falkirk.
