Does anybody know who do the cheapest ferry from Portsmouth to Santander around July for a 2 birth motorhome

I am not 100% sure but I think it would be a Brittany Ferry economie service.

They will need the length and height of the van. Being "lower" is not always cheapest.

There’s only Brittany ferries but you can choose the Economy service to make it cheaper, downside is that it is the smallest boat and a lot of the vehicles are on the upper deck exposed to the elements. I can let you have a code which gets you 10% of the base fare but not the cabins.

Not very cheap , booked today for 2 adults and dog, travelling in Suzuki swift mid april, with voyager discount £290 one way. Code available if required.

You can sometime make it cheaper by using Pont Aven, but then you have to use a seat rather than a cabin. Not for me.

Its a bit late for booking for Summer now.

With all the stability of a jelly. Oh boy can it roll.

I'm sure it's basically unstable or in bad need of repair. On the last part of our return in a very smooth Channel I was stood look backwards and the rear of the boat constantly described an arc when focussing on a point on the horizon. Yawing continuously and with the yaw came the roll.

I'll pay more if we do this route again.

We have had a good run up to this year, never suffered like we did both ways this time.

Me too.

However, a "dedicated lounge seat" is available for £10 on Pont Aven compared to a cabin (approx £90 at least) on all boats.

I wouldn't want to spend 24 without a bed, especially if I was then going to drive a "big" vehicle on the "wrong" side of the road.

Thats just £80 the kids won't be getting,,,,BUSBY:D:D:D

I would not do that crossing without a cabin on any boat!

I would not do any long crossing without a Cabin.

I would get lynched with my snoring. I would wake passengers passing on Cap Finistere.

Well it makes sense.

An Inside 4 berth cabin costs £85-£115.

But if you are a BF Member, you get your £8.10 Breakfast allowance with a cabin.

So if three are 4 in a cabin, it makes sense not to have a seat only, as the breaky only comes with a cabin.

Think it makes more sense at my age for the sake of a few quid to sleep in a bed with my own loo and shower that be bloody uncomfortable in a chair,,,BUSBY:D:D

Always travel on the Pont Aven and always book a Club Class cabin, only costs something like £8 more but has a tv and more importantly a kettle, tea and coffee.

From £9 upwards. If they dont have any, I take a travel kettle and laptop.
