Do these wind out canopys have to be bone dry before winding them away ?

Left mine damp once and it took ages of scrubbing to get the mildew black marks out of the texture of the blind, top and botom

That's exactly how I did mine Jim, and it came up a treat.which links nicely onto .....
'How to clean an awning' ..
this method is cheap and it works.. will remove mildew, bird crap, and most other dirt..
you need, a bucket of warm water with a good squirt of washing up liquid and one cup of thin cheap bleach
extend the blind fully, then scrub both sides, with a soft broom or car wash brush
whilst still wet and soapy, roll the awning in, leave for about 30 mins..
Extend awning and hose off .. leave to dry ..
