if anybody out there is suffering condesation in their motorhome,whilst it's laid up for the winter.
try putting bowls(cerial type) with a layer of salt in the bottom around the van,
attracts moisture from the air inside the van like a magnet.
we had a static caravan for years(got bored with that) and every year we did this,and when we opened the van at the begining of the season, the bowls were always half full with water.
helps stop mildew on curtains and combats damp feeling bedding.
give it a go.

I have put three of these in my van this year,and they seem to doing a good job of it.Used salt previously,but these air dry things can be re-hydrated over a radiator......

I use dry bags too and have to say they work well :thumb:

Never thought of using salt .....but hey we're learning all the time :thumb:

Tony-Do you hang your bags up so they are suspended,or do you just lay them down flat like I do.?

If you get condensation when laid up then you should be looking for the cause, .. not a fix..

There is no need for heaters, de humidifiers or salt bags in a sound van laid up for the winter....

Its just posh salt, the active ingredient is Calcium Chloride,

Calcium Chloride absorbs water in the same way that Sodium Chloride (table salt) does but much better.

They can both be re-dehydrated in an oven
