I was only thinking of doing the hubs so I would have larger wheel bearings, I am happy with the 2.5 td thats in it, it goes really well with the fuel pump modification
Fuel pump modification?

I also modified the wiring to get the cold start so it only works on the first cranking of the engine

After seeing you IN the hole where the engine should be in a previous photo I can't believe how much it's come on!! Amazing!
Still got a bit to do but think I have broken the back of it
My biggest problem is I am 225 miles from my work shop
Very limited tool situation to make build modifie and fabricate with out having to pay through the nose for sumthing I can do my self
I have managed but a few things will have to wait till I get to my kit to do it

Depends on the fuel pump, if its the lucas cav pump on the 2.5 talbot engine then the fuel screw is a small allen key in the front of the pump behind the allen key plug which is hidden behind a plastic cover, on the bosch pump then it is at a angle close to the injector pipes, it had a 13 mm locking nut and its easy to do,

Lucas pump only requires around a 16th to a 8th of a turn so just a touch but the bosch you can do a quarter to a half turn, both clockwise turning them inwards

The view form our rented static caravan as the sun raises over the other boxes.
Is it for me I don't think so stuck in the same place.
Another day just fiddling abut today
But a early finish so I can spend sum time with Lyn and Jay not covered in oil and dirt
Jay having breakfast before another days graft

I imagine you could make yourself one Bill, if not get a blank chassis plate off e bay and a set of stamps and stamp what ever VIN is shown on your v5
The Mot tester should use what ever plate is present
Good Luck

The chassis number should be recorded on the V5 Bill, along with the original engine number. Do any of your photos show the VIN plate in situ?
Normally the VIN Plate is riveted onto the bonnet slam panel, and wouldn't be knocked off easily.

Good luck pal. (y)

Jock. :)

Hmm think this might be from a longitudinal engine rear wheel drive? Might not be able to do it with yours? I have no idea what I am on about :eek::LOL:
