I always check the tyres although I dont often check the lights. We parked up at a farm shop a couple of weeks ago and I noticed that the outer rear was flat. It wasnt an obvious spot on flat ground as it was supported by the inner wheel, but on bumpy ground it didnt look right.
Not sure when I would have noticed it if I didnt walk round before driving off- probably when the inner tyre gave up under the strain .

Great videos Geo
And they have stimulated a debate full of useful tips (and not so useful mutterings)
Any check is better than none..
To a lot if people this is the largest vehicle they have ever driven and stressing the importance of at least visual checks is essential. The loose hand tightened wheel nut aside. I don't know that many people (me included) that get a torque wrench out before every journey. Just getting down there and looking us hopefully going to highlight a problem.
With a lot of motorhomes being left unatended and not run for extended periods these checks are even more important.
The tyre weight thread is also one that people should be aware of..
Just shows what an awesome rescource this forum is.
