You are on the New server

A bit of a hic-cup there, all was OK this morning but I've been getting the old server for the past 30 minutes

OK again now though :thumb:

Hi Both.
Gosh you gave me a fright with the list of what to do if I couldn't get onto the site. Copied it, read it, didn't understand it.Grandkids away. Help.......... Panic set in.
Just tapped into favourites and THERE YOU ARE. Gosh relief.
Not gone into everything yet(don't know how to). But this bit that matters is ok.
I am amazed after list. But grateful that I don't have to do anything. THANKYOU.
P.S. I am telling grandkids I managed it all by myself.....So no one snitch TA.
Peter.

Had a couple of issues yesterday, (just page refreshes), but all fine today. Does seem quicker.

One weird thing that happens for me, (nothing to do with the forum software), is that I'm running Firefox on both my laptop & office PCs. When I try to view someone's attachment(s), the laptop works fine, i.e. I get the 'Lightbox' kicking in and I can view the pics, whereas my office PC brings up Lightbox, but the images don't expand. The background darkens, and I can see the 'next' button, but no pics. If I cut & paste the url into IE or Chrome the Lightbox works perfectly. Both machines run XP SP2 and the same versions of Firefox. Strange.

Keep up the good work Jim. Definately the best MH forum on the net, with RVOC running a close second! :thumb:

I'm having real problems, I've had to create a new account to post this

When I am able to get to the logon screen (as opposed to the old server notice), after logging on I just get sent back to the welcome page asking me to log on again :cry::Sad:

Steelysteph

PS I've tried with Safari, Firefox, IE8 and Chrome (IE and Chrome on my mac via Fusion)

I've found that if I click on the link while waiting for log on to auto direct I can get here

Any ideas or is it a mystery?

That is normally a cookie issue, try deleting your stored cookies and trying again.

That said, presently we have a problem with cookie storage - when you visit us without using www.you will still get to us, but cookies are not being stored for "motorhomefun.co.uk" (without the www) so the system will not remember you are logged in.

Untill this is fixed only log in using the "www.motorhomefun.co.uk" Hopefully I will have it sorted soon.

Clicked motorhome fun in the favorites and straight in, nice clean swop over with no problems.

Thanks guys

chris & jools:Smile:

I got timed out of chat and had to sign in again, this is a reoccuring problem for some people but a relatively new one for me. I've also had a few problems with the page locking up and refusing to accept any menu choices. Clear at the present time though.

THANKS ! done the same as Grumpy wrote everything down as it took me 5 days to get back on the site last time.
Connected to site this morning with no trouble at all.

I got timed out of chat last week, thought it was my computer, perhaps not,
You just spend to much time in there.:Rofl1::Rofl1:

I have at last reconnected to Fun. I tried the dns flush a number of times but to no avail. In the end I rebooted my router at home and low and behold it now works.

Well done Lunarman and :welcome:to the NEW MHFun site.:thumb:

Thanks Brisey. It seems my router was always trying to connect to the old server. In desperation I rebooted it before I went into withdrawal too far. Now I've had a fix I am feeling much better.

Hurrah and Huzzah, Back Again

I flushed the DNS Cache so many time yesterday I nearly went round the U bend

Must have been the Virgin Media DNS table that was slow in upgrading.

This morning, straight in
