Hi - had a look, but couldn’t find this particular fault mentioned amongst the many.

We are in Spain on ehu and it is hot, probably about 30. Today have noticed that the blue ‘on’ light isn’t on even though the fridge is on as the controls and the interior light all working.
Pressing the triangle reset button brings the blue light on for a few seconds but then it goes out again.

Fridge vents have been in full sun this morning so have taken the bottom vent panel off and erected some shade and put a fan to try to cool it a bit. Still happens.

Also tried it on gas instead of ehu/automatic but that didn’t work either.

Is it something more serious than the heat? Any other solutions anyone has found?
TIA

Sounds like an electronic fault on the control panel, if the fridge is getting cold you could just live with it until you get home.

May be worth completely disconnecting power to the fridge and see if it resets.

Thanks Lenny HB it does still seem to be cool. Tried switching off but that didn’t do anything. Near the end of a 7 week trip now so will get it checked when we get home.

Have you tried pulling the fuse that feeds the electronics, on my Hymer's it's a 2amp fuse, it will be from a permantly live source.

Seeing the recent post about a Dometic fridge not working, just wanted to update on our saga now we are home.
We tried all of the above, light still wouldn't come on but fridge and freezer still working.
Then a week later - it just started working out of the blue. Have to say it was when we had reached much cooler climes (low 20s) and when it started raining. Don't know if that had anything to do with it.
The joys of Dometic fridges
