The powder coated paint on my wiper arms is flaking off (van is ten years old). Has anyone taken these off before as I would like to dress them and spray them black. Thought I would ask before attempting the job. Any tips appreciated.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
They're usually held on with a single nut (under a small cap) & a firm upwards tug on the arm removes it, going back on being the opposite of removal but you swear in different places.

More than toes wet now!
As AK says above.
If it's very stiff :)whistle:) Google wiper arm puller. Less than a fiver but check spindle diameter.
Also mark spindle \ wiper arm so you align correctly when refitting.

You're lucky... Mine's only three years old and the "paint" on the arms is shot!...
