I have just returned from a week away during which my Fiamma 45i wind out awning took a bit of a hammering. First thing the right hand leg collapsed. The aluminium fitting attaching to the folding knuckle snapped. I forced back together but a couple of days later the wind caught the canvas and ripped it from the roller (approximately 1 foot long). I decided to replace the awning altogether but couldn’t find F45i on internet and a call to a dealer shed no light on the model. Apparently the 45i is no longer in production and is replaced by F45S or F45L. I am reluctant to drill more holes into the van so would like to know if the brackets fitted already for the F45i will be suitable for the S or L models.
Also does anybody know the difference between S and L. I understand that it may be short and long. Does this relate to length of the canopy, the case or the depth of the canopy when wound out? Specific figures or a web link would be wonderful.
Thanks in anticipation.
