Some stonking deals on this site .... Vodafone unlimited everything for £10 pcm (mid range download speed one with 5G), or another giving 20gb pcm for £6

Discussion about the various deals here:

Thanks Minxy Girl
I Recently upgraded phone & data with Vodafone, went for an I phone XR and upgraded data to 30GB per month.(for touring hot spot)
Long story short they screwed up the order, new phone didnt arrive etc.
Did whole job with their on line chat room, transcription of conversation did not get e mailed to me, as promised neither did new phone.
Complained heavily, Vodafone tried to charm me with (now wear your Indian broken English decipher device earplugs) you are "loyal customer very important, we promise we will give you extra special deal" ....." I am happy to do everything for your satisfaction today sir" What everything I asked?:D
Well I wore them down until I got the phone package deal I wanted for £12 PCM 30GB plus free calls & Texts, media package, and the phone cheaper than I could buy it directly for with 24 months accidental damage warranty also.
PS: despite my complaint being that I never received the original chat line transcript,or the new phone, and being assured that I would receive the "updated order" one, I still to this day have not received the transcript, but the new phone is great(y)
Vodafone, Bent as a nine bob note eh?
But great coverage and free roaming won the deal.
Wonder if it will change if no deal is imminent?
Les

How can they do this..... Vodafone sim only unlimited max, £30 a month, after cashback you pay £14 a month that's under half price. Wonder how easy in reality it is to get the cashback which you have to apply for months 3 5 7 9 and 12 Anyone had any experience with these cashback deals ?

Edit..Just read the HDUK thread and its a fantastic deal will be red hot tomorrow.

They just hope that you'll forget or send in your bills at the wrong time! There is always a very short window in which to send your phone bill back.

Although in this day and age with everything being online I wonder whether you'll be expected to print out your bills in order to send them off!

On the Vfone 100Gb deal and been abroad for the last month but noticed in their terms and conditions that all their unlimited packages have a fair use roaming policy of 25Gb per month although I am not affected.

I had exactly the same issue with Vodafone last month. Very disappointed with them.

Thanks for this my contract runs out in 3 weeks

Just to mention, the new 'Unlimited' plans all carry a 25GB limit when used abroad.

The biggest EU data plan presently available from Vodafone is 50GB on a Mobile Broadband data plan, all of which can be used abroad without issue. This is £30pm on a 30 day rolling contract or we can discount this to £15pm on a 12 month contract for any customers of ours.

Vodafone also have some 'Home 4G/5G' broadband plans - but these can't be used abroad and in reality the phone SIM's work in a router so they are of questionable value in comparison to the handset deals.

Anyone with the 100GB SIM plans (or the 115GB + Entertainment SIM for £13or £16 plans from us) are still able to roam in Europe without a data limitation. I'm not sure if they can be discounted on renewal, but you can keep the same allowance.

If you have any of these contract SIM's specifically for European use, if anything change post 31st October onwards, you will have grounds to get out of your contract as your contract terms will have changed.

The 2Mbps max download speed could be a little painful on the Unlimited 'lite' plan, but credit to Minxy Girl - if you're organized enough to manage the redemption, some cracking cashback details around at the moment.

i have a voda contract which expires on 22/09 according to vodaphone i cant take up one of these deals and transfer my phone number i have to wait until the contract expires and then change but i can put notice on my contract and change to pay as you go and then do its crazy

Yep, I do, and as mentioned above, you need to be on top of things to remember when they require a copy of the bill, which is all done online, so no need for postage, etc.
I did mine through the Carphone Warehouse's 100Gb Vodafone deal with cash back, in March.

Another "heads up" at the time from Minxy Girl Mel. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

One word of caution ... Vodafone have been advertising widely that they offer a 30 day no quibble return policy when you take out a contract so that if you're not happy you can return your sim/phone (whatever!) within that time period and get out of the contract, just paying a pro-rata day rate for your month's usage BUT ... and this is a BIG BUT ... this only applies if you buy it direct from Vodafone, all of the re-sellers such as the above, Mobiles.com, etc have in their terms that it is 14 days and this takes precedence over Vodafone's policy.

True, for us we don't get close to that so it won't cause an issue, if someone needed 2 phone contracts though @ £10 each (after cashback) it would give 2 x unlimited stuff in the UK and 50GB in total abroad. If someone needs more than that pcm then they seriously need to ask themselves if they really are away on holiday or just on the internet all the time so might as well have stayed at home! :D

I assume that's for those who've bought equipment etc at the same time as the sim package?

You maybe don't know many of our customers then... although, perhaps you do as many of them are funsters! In all seriousness, many people who long term abroad are now opting to stream TV via the internet either to avoid the comparatively expensive traditional means or to watch content only available online, for them the more EU data the better. The 2Mbps download speed tariff is perhaps cutting it a bit fine for streaming though due to the effect that traffic shaping has but someone (have you signed up?) ideally needs to try it and report back.

We open our SIM deals up to all 4G product customers past and present as part of our service, we just ask for an IMEI (serial) number check to confirm. Maybe not as keen as some of the cashback details, but the discount is deducted at the source so no redemption. We did open the exclusive 115GB SIM up to funsters as well at Peterborough show but such was the demand it took almost two weeks to get everyone signed up. We have many people who regret not taking that deal at the time, but hindsight is a wonderful thing and with any luck, something comparative will be along soon enough.

We have the 'up to 10 mbps' contract, not the 'lite' version which is capped at 2 mbps, so even if I did try it wouldn't be a fair 'test' for those who only have the 2mbps ones. As it is we don't stream anyway as we don't have a 'smart' TV ... who called me a dinosaur! :D

I tried Vodafone on pay as you go, just to see how it performed but I only got 4G once for about a hour and poor 3g, so I asked for a pac code and got the loyal customer talk and that’s only being with them for about 3 weeks, offering data at good price but I good if you don’t get a decent signal.
So I’m back with three now.

Not a bad deal but I am going to hold off until BLACK Friday.
2 years ago got a cracking deal which is up in Nov. OH contract expires this month.
2 years ago got a samsung s8 phone deal which was cheaper than a sim only via mobiles.co.uk
So gonna wait a few months and decide whether to get a new sim deal or phone deal.

Since March, having travelled up to the east coast of Scotland, and over to the west coast, before crossing to, and touring Ireland as a whole, the only place I've not had a 4G signal with my Vodafone sim card, is in North Norfolk this weekend.
The signal was so bad at times, it went down to 2G. :( Even the Freeview TV signal was dire at times.

Vodafone, Bent as a nine bob note eh?

The first contract phone that I took out was with Vodafone, what a mistake that was.
I was visiting my brother in Banbury & when I got home I couldn't find my phone, so I rang them up to suspend the phone in case it'd fallen into the wrong hands, I also pointed out that I was insurance with my contract. They informed me that the phone hadn't been used since my last call to my brother which was a relief.
I rang their insurance dept the following evening only to be told that "as I hadn't informed them within 24hrs that they wouldn't accept my claim" I argued that I had informed Vodafone that the phone was missing but, apparently the small print in my contract stated that I should also have informed their insurance dept! I wasn't told this when I reported the phone was missing.
As I'd had the contract for over a year, I decided just to get a new phone from them but, the treatment I'd had from them really chewed at me.
So I called them to end the contract, I was told that I'd have to pay my next bill which I did.
I then cancelled the direct debit & thought no more of it.
Then I started getting nasty letters from them claiming that I hadn't paid my outstanding bills!
A few years later I set out to buy a new living room suite but, was refused credit, I was outraged, my credit history was impeccable & yes it was Vodafone who'd stuck the knife into me.

I was still getting letters from debt collection agencies over a decade later asking for payment.

The irony of the whole sorry saga is that the aforementioned phone showed up a few days after I'd lost it, twas down the side of my car seat.

I have been using my Virgin Unlimited £24.50 per month sim in my iphone and tethering or in a HUAWEI Mifi for over 2 years. Although there is a 'fair use' policy to date, I haven't been prevented from streaming 2-3 hours a night in France, Spain and Portugal. Plus SWMBO has radio 4 on all day ( if we're not out and about).
There. I hope I've not jinxed it.

Capped at 25GB for roaming...not that that matters now ☹️

I got a 60GB for £20 the other day (now no longer available)....not capped or tethered for roaming...but as I said it is academic now....could cancel it under 14 day cooling off period but am keeping optimistic that I’ll be able to use it some time in the next year....meanwhile will use it in blighty....

I'm no mate of Job, (pronounced Jobe) but I would be wary right now of any deal that was offering cashback, especially those spread out over 12mths.

Whilst I don't think Vodaphone will go under, those supplying 'agents' must be vulnerable and getting your cashback might be harder than easy.

I don't quite agree with your logic as not everyone has landline based internet and even if they have it may not be sufficient for their needs if there are more people at home at one time. Also with people not being at work etc the likelihood is that they will want more 'phone' time to contact friends and relatives and therefore if their current contract is limiting or they have PAYG they may sign up for contracts instead.

The ONE thing you have to remember to do is send in your bills when required to get the cashback, with what's going on at present I suspect some will totally forget which will be an expensive mistake.

I'm not advocating that Mob. are the work of the devil.
But, that same devil is in the detail.
All I'm saying in these times is that there is a real possibility that secondary businesses will go under.
(I'm assuming Vodaphone in this case will not be guaranteeing the deal.)
Thats all.

I’ve just got a unlimited everything deal from Three. £18 per month on a 12 month commitment. Just installed in my netgear aircard and feeling pretty good about having an alternate connection, for redundancy purposes in these challenging times...
