Hi all just thought this worth posting, I recently purchased a Larhn bamboo chopping board from Amazon when it arrived they asked me to take a photo of it in use to enter a cash back draw. So I did and got my money back👍😊😊😊
I fitted it to swivel post next to my drivers seat to form a shelf for when we are stationary.

I no longer understand how commerce works these days on Amazon.
My daughter orders stuff, gives a review and gets a refund for purchase price.
How does it work, I've no idea ? But she's making the most of it 🤷‍♂️

Yes it’s very strange in this particular case there was a card asking to send a photo which would be judged with other entrants for the week and cash back given to winner😊 thought it worth a punt😊

They need positive reviews. People make decisions to purchase based on them. Last thing I bought from Amazon I had a label inside saying leave a positive review and my full purchase price would be refunded. I didn’t do it because I couldn’t recommend the product but it makes a mockery of the review system.

In my case the product is excellent I certainly wouldn’t have done it just to get money back if it was rubbish but you are correct if folk just review for money back that’s dishonest and unfair to people who purchase by reviews and not research and word of mouth.
personally I don’t think a lot of Amazon reviews🤔

I bought an action camera from an Amazon 3rd party seller.
Leave a positive review and we'll send you a pair of higher amperage batteries and a dual charger worth £15.... Half the price of the camera.
It worked as expected so a good review wasn't a problem.
I now have 4 x batteries and a USB dual charger.

I thought I would post this message I received from Larhn today explaining their policy.😊

Hi Alan,
Thank you for sharing your photo on your motorhome forum. We note that it has sparked a debate about paid reviews. I just wanted to clarify that we run this weekly competition for customers who purchase from all our channels (including Amazon) to generate engagement in our brand and user-generated content. There is absolutely no requirement or expectation of reviews, unlike some of the examples we saw mentioned. Once again, I thank you for your purchase and hope you get many years use out of it. If you need anything else, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

my thanks to Larhn😊
