Booked ourselves into the Golden Lion, Southwick for a pub stop before the ferry to Caen.
Brilliant! We were welcomed, checked that we were happy. The food was an adventure itself - Rabbit and Bacon Shepherds Pie.
Lovely local bitter, open fires.
Toilet open all night. Couldn’t be faulted.
Thank you.

Rabbit and Bacon, sounds good.
Rabbit is a difficult meat to get taste into, usually curried.

Not difficult the way my Basia marinates it. We had it again last evening and it was delicious.

Come on then spill then beans-or whatever she uses to marinate the Rabbit, what is the marinade?

Rabbit and Bacon Shepherds Pie.

That sound like it would be an amazing pie.

Many years ago one of my sons did and exchange month with a young man from Valencia and one night he offered to cook the evening meal, Paella, I then discovered that Paella originated in the Valencia region and that Rabbit was one of the many ingredients along with Saffron etc, it was delicious, over the years outside of Valencia I have never had Paella with Rabbit.

I know it’s a bit of useless information but,hey ho.
