Alpine to supply updated discs for my Alpine GPS unit. bought for over a thousand pounds in 2003, but no updates available for the maps since 2007. Wonderful unit, but not on old maps! Has anyone else been stitched up by Alpine?

A cursory glance at Alpine website shows updates available for several models. tried there ?

All new Alpine models update straight off the internet. Mine needs new discs with the updates installed non them. Alpine stopped making and supplying new updated discs in 2007!
After much research and exchanges with Alpine, nothing is available to update the maps on my system.

As long as things are used with care and serviced, on a regular basis, they will continue to give years of very satisfactory service...

Thanks, all...........I guess these things are sent to try us.......

Had unibrake system fitted, and went to reverse out of workshop............Hmm, no reverse (well lights and camera came on but hymer still drove forward !!)
Experts think its stuck in first............even selecting netural it still drives forward........
Box is being dropped out this week................(very) rough estimate @ £2000
