Just starting to think about heading south for the Winter. At the moment hanging round North Spain.
So the plan is something like stay up round here till end of September then head South may be take a month.
So get to Southern Spain October'ish then find a site where we could park up for 2 to 3 months. So does any one on here know when sites start changing winter/long term prices. Also any idea of cost per night. Been told you can get a bargain?

Ok put it another way when people come over for the winter where do you stay a what would you expect to pay a night?

Have you looked at an acsi book, that can give you an idea of what they are charging in a particular area.

Nope not looked. Truthful have got one we came out in July and was told the book and membership ran from Jan to Dec so didn't think it was worth joining half way though a year!
I could be wrong

My brother overwinters in Conil de la Frontera, south of Cadiz. He gets a good deal for long term. Probably not the warmest of places as it is on the Atlantic, and the winds can be strong. I know someone who winters in Aguilas, near Cartagena, much drier and warmer I believe.

How short is short and how long is long?

(There is no place for references to string in relation to this question! :censored:)

We usually travel Autumn and Spring.

We do not over winter but If you want to stay in some of the more popular sites you may need to book for a winter stay. We have had them queueing for our pitch when we leave early December.

ACSI works great at around 19 euro's a night for short stays.

Longer stays the "site offered" discount will be more advantageous.

The site discount may not kick in unless you stay at least a month.

If you stay a month it may drop to around 14 Euros a night plus electric costs.

But remember the winter months are some of the Costa Del Sols busiest months and site will be busy if not full.

You will always find a pitch but maybe not near the bars. beach and restaurants and maybe inland a bit where the weather is not always as pleasant.

One of our favourite sites on the beach, near the bars and restaurants often shows full signs by late October.

Not sure who told you a bargain is available on southern Spanish sites in winter. But I don't think they are totally correct. (y)
