Hi all
The windscreen on my 2006 2.8 Autocruise Starblazer got quite badly damaged the other day.
I’m insured with caravan gaurd with £100 excess on windscreen replacement.
I called the number for glass replacement and it turns out it’s Autoglass.I asked how much was it for a new screen if I paid for it?
£845 + vat and I had to take it 16 miles to their centre in Eastbourne.
Phoned my local windscreen company - 2plus1 windscreens in Uckfield.
£145 + vat and they would come to my warehouse, where the van is stored and fit it there.
They did a brilliant job a few days later.
I suppose someone has to pay for the fancy Autoglass ads and jingles.
It wasn’t worth claiming on my insurance for £45- knowing you will have to declare any claims next renewal etc.
Always worth looking around I think.

OK if you have a standard screen my screen £2.5k plus fitting happy to pay the £75 excess.

Autowindscreens were brilliant, no messing about, great technicians most ex auto glass. Come to your house to fit
