Having an A-class I find that cleaning the inside of the windscreen a bit of a chore.

If you wipe anything off you then tend to have to clean the whole lot..... now I have a bit of a thing for wanting a clean screen and sometimes use autoglim window cleaner which generally works well but you have to polish it a fair bit to rid any smears...

I find a dash of washing up liquid on a soft dampcloth and wiping off with a dry cloth works well too and also keeps the condensation down.

I even sit there sometimes with the screen demister on waiting for it to clear the condensation otherwise if you touch it or wipe it you can guarantee it’ll be all smeared....

How do you deal with this...?

A long pole with a wife on the end works for me.

Do you mean clean, as in when you want to wash the muck off, or clean as in just need to remove the condensation that forms overnight? If the latter then I can highly recommend using a Karcher window vac as its amazing the amount of water than it sucks up that would otherwise take ages to remove with a cloth or wait for the demisters to do their stuff. You can get an extension pole but it's just basically a telescopic pole that you attach the vac to the end of so wouldn't be difficult to make one yourself a lot cheaper ... something like a cheap walking pole with a bicycle bottle holder attached to the end of it for the Karcher to sit in would do the same thing!

Agree the karcher would be good for getting rid of condensation but does it leave smears on the screen..?

Many a times I’ve cleaned the screen to crystal clarity only to find loads of smears when in the right sunlight....

Nope, not if you ensure you use it properly.
