Or is it even possible?

erm....??? i would really hope notA bit late support for Win 10 ends Jan 2020.
Sorry got it wrong it's May 12th 2020.erm....??? i would really hope not
It appears to change with every major update in April they said support would end in November this year. This cant be correct, its the current version. Maybe some old build of windows 10?
The 2020 date is a bit misleading, though Microsoft have published it. The reality is if you let Win 10 update itself (like an app) it will continue to be supported. As you suggest I think the support for versions not updated will end in 2020 but some reduced form of support for early versions will go on to 2025.This cant be correct, its the current version. Maybe some old build of windows 10?
Exactly what I was thinking, even if it CAN run Windows 10 (which I doubt) you're unlikely to be able to get suitable drivers for your graphics, sound card etc so will in effect 'kill it'.If your PC was designed to run on Vista that means it is going to be historic in IT terms. You'll need to check the specifications for Windows 10 and your computer to see if it is even compatible.
As stated in other responses you can't upgrade from Vista to 10 as it has to be a clean install. Is there a trick to upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows latest?

Rumours of Microsoft going down the subscription route (as they have done with Office, 2019 version is alleged to be the last local install version ever) have been circulating for a wee while now but they keep denying it. So, you'll obviously believe them!It appears to change with every major update in April they said support would end in November this year.
They will probably carry on supporting it until the new operating system is launched which will probably be next year. Looks like they will be moving to a PAYG system where you will have to pay annually.
Are these updates the one's where when you're going to switch off it says "update and shutdown"?Windows 10 is not being replaced. It is constantly updated, with 2 releases per year. As long as you follow the updates, there is no end of support. I have updated my PCs at home and at work for the last 3 years with every update and never had a problem.
Assuming you've not disabled Auto Updates yip that'll be them. You should also get "Update and Restart" as an option. Are these updates the one's where when you're going to switch off it says "update and shutdown"?
Or are they more involved?
ive got version 1903 sitting in a loop wont install until i delete AVG and wont regognise that I have
deleted it dozen attempts so far.
it seems many people are stuck in this loop with little hope
And it'll keep happening! Microsoft's only solution for one of my Windows 10 Pro (1809) laptops is a clean install as no other solution they offered works! If I'm going to have to do that I might just go for Linux Mint 19.3 instead!ive got version 1903 sitting in a loop wont install until i delete AVG and wont regognise that I have

I understood that McAfee was considered the best protection for Windows 10 !!It is a fact that it is best to leave third-party anti malware out of Windows 10. Microsoft has developed a very good suite of protections and other products only wreak havoc in the internals of W10.

Not really what I was saying.Microsoft is not responsible for the behaviour of third party software. If you think there is one OS on the planet that is trouble-free, you're in for some disappointment.
