Got a split in my drivers side hab window inside and out. The crack is about 5 inches long most probably caused by the temperature variants lately and its age.
Anyone else ever got over this. It looks like I will have to replace the whole unit and send it off. That would leave a big hole to be plugged for a couple of weeks.

Can't you just get the acrylic part and fit it when it arrives?

Wish that was true.
It appears that they need the old one to form a new one. 324 BEER TOKENS PLUS POSTAGE AND PACKING IN TOTAL around 400 beer tokens inc vat. Other options are a scrapped one, looked on line till I was really fed up so no joy there. Thank you for you interest Eggs.

Hi the numbers seem to be a generic one covering lots of different windows mine is 1560x640 deep so you can see the problem. I am awaiting a return email from the Manufacturers in Holland btw, thanks for your help btw.

I had a new one made using my broken one as a pattern 2 years ago by EECO for £420. Good service and fitted perfectly.
I could have bought a new but slightly larger window complete with frame for less and slightly enlarged the aperture to receive it.

Looks like that I am going along that route my friend, but a small holiday first as there is a 3 week turnaround. Many thanks.

Just out of curiosity, where are you in Essex? I'm just over the border in Suffolk for now.

This was my broken one. A hit 'n run market trader in France reversed into it whilst I was away.

To remove it I just had to loosen the Philips screw and slide off one of the black plastic locating stops and then open the window 90 deg and slide it along and off the end of the ali rail.

I gaffer taped a piece of hardboard over the window aperture that was left and carried on using the m/h.

I packed it using cardboard scrounged from a B&Q and printed off the label that EECO emailed to me

About 6 weeks later the new one arrived.

If you are using the motorhome in the meantime drill a small hole carefully at the ends of the crack to stop it spreading.
