Windbreak and hard ground

We have a pair of jormax windbreaks which are great but just couldn’t get them into the stoney ground at our last site - other than a 10lb mallet and a iron spike has anyone come up with a natty solution ?

I use a battery hammer drill and a masonry bit thats a bit smaller than the Jormax poles.

Hate to say it, but if the need is desperate, do what tortoise do when digging in hard stony soil to lay eggs, pee on it!

I always check on Amazon prices these days as most things can be purchased cheaper elsewhere

What length drill worked for you ?

Just measured as i couldn't remember ! It's a 12mm bit. From tip to drill chuck, its 13cm.
