A few weeks ago, maybe more, someone posted a link to a camera that can track movement for the purpose of monitoring a pet inside your motorhome.
It was wifi and around £30 odd and looked as though it could be something I'm looking for.
I've searched the forum and cannot find it.
Anyone help please?

Any usb powered web cam will do what you need as long as you have WiFi

Amazon have a good offer on right now Amazon product ASIN B0861RHWQ7
remember 2 things

1. you’ll get a delay, so you’ll not get true live view
2. higher resolution will use more data, but lower resolution will not give such a good image, if your wanting to just watch a pet then no point in 4K etc, but if your looking for security higher resolution may be better as you’ll want ti I.d. any perp

Do these cameras use your data continuously ? or is it possible to remotely switch on, then turn off when you seen your pooch is ok ?

I would imagine a bit of both. If you leave cloud services(motions detection etc) disabled then other than a small heartbeat signal it only transmits serious data when you connect into it. On the other hand if you enable motion detection etc then anytime it detects a delta it will upload to cloud. In reality if your blinds are drawn then this should be zero hence the attraction of this type of camera as it will cause your phone to give you an alert(app driven) if your blinds are drawn and someone breaks in. The big advantage of these devices is that they only require power(very low - less than 1A @12V I think) and internet. They don't require serious computing power and fixed IP firewalls etc. Fire and forget!!

Thanks for the replies.
However the cameras arent the one I was referring to.
Does the search facility only list the last 20 pages?
