I can only imagine this is any good if you live in warmer climes don't use the van in winter. As I can't say for definite that I wont be travelling in winter Ill probably go with onboard storage unless there's a heated wrap to go around the tank...
Just thinking out loud, dont mind me. Just the ramblings of a van-build virgin.

I think the correct answer is Caravaners.:ROFLMAO:

Don't see the point our inboard tank lasts us 4 - 5 days with us having showers every day.

Do you know the size of your tanks?

Hi mr M, I’ve just taken an 80+ litre fresh water tank (Caktank) out of our van, and replaced with a 40 litre.
I plan to use a water hog or similar to top up the onboard tank when necessary, like when on a site for a while. Won’t need to move the van just to fill the water tank.
We don’t wild or free camp, so have regular access to a tap.
I think this is an area in which caravans make more sense than vans. Why take up payload carrying water around? Also, we don’t drink the water from the onboard tank, prefer to use 5 litre bottles that we fill as and when necessary.
Regards
